“Sow a thought and you reap an action;
Sow an act and you reap a habit;
Sow a habit and you reap a character;
Sow a character and you reap a destiny.” – Ralph W. Emerson
“The Lord is faithful; He will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one. Now, the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times, in all ways!”(2 Thessalonians 3: 3 & 16)
Dear Salesians, Staff, support-Staff, benefactors, parents/guardians and my dear beloved girls and boys, Greetings of love and peace of Christ!
An ancient Eastern proverb goes like this: Ä journey of thousand miles begins with a single step!” I am happy to say that today (December 7th 2020) we have taken a single step towards our academic campus life. I am indeed glad to see (partially, because of face masks) all in the campus. We have been longing at least for this ‘masked face’ to ‘masked face’ interactions for the past several months. Now that, our “new normal” way of life with necessary precautions of health, is the reality, let us always maintain “healthy distance” and follow all instructions given by the government, in all our class room settings and in the campus dynamics. That is to make all these actions as our habit and character for our healthy earthy life together. Herein, I wish to remind all of you our college motto: ”A Healthy body in a healthy soul!
Human beings have a high altitude of resilience and vast longitude of adaptation to every life challenge thrown at us by God, nature and fellow humans. The most unexpected COVID19 in 2020 has lifted our fighting spirit to the utmost levels of innovation, creativity and success in prevention and care in all aspects of life. May all of us continue our journey of brave efforts to bring newer meanings to our human life!
I wish all of you a good year academic learning with safety and creativity! As we are in the season of Advent, wish you all, in anticipation, great Joys of Christmas 2020 and a healthy and dynamic year 2021!
Yours in Don Bosco,
Rev. Dr. Edwin George SDB, Ph. D.
